Mr. Falcon Asks......What's so bad about boxing?
by Mr. Falcon ini love boxing.
it kicks arse all over the place.
although it has lost some of it's prior glory and has waaaay too many classes that are televised and billed as "main events", it's still better than mma (sorry to any mma fans; i actually don't mind ufc, i'm just saying that i prefer traditional boxing).. anywho, what is the deal with jws hating on boxing?

Studying just for marriage ?
by Pitchess Co-Gen indid you notice that some jw's men and women tried to bring in new people just to marry them ?
i saw this with my brother about the year 2001. he met this girl off some chat line.
he liked her, but it was one big problem; she wasn't a jw.

I have a vivid recollection of a fleshly brother of a Mini-Servant who brought his worldly girlfriend into the borg this way. When I saw her come in the Hall that first Sunday I thought- WTH is she doing here as she was like "prom queen" hot! My wife and I befriended them both and became close. The girl had quite a colorful life which she shared in confidence with my wife (sexually active, smoking, drinking...). I knew of the crowd she ran with in high school and had carnal knowledge (actually saw her bare boobies but that's another story)
I noticed when brothers try to sneek a worldly women behind the back door, and those women where ethier 10-12 times better than the regular witness girls. I thought about doing the same thing when I was in .lol

My brother had my mother study with her before she quit due to other factors, but it wasn't the regligon it was the fact that my older brother is kind of a lier.

Any born-ins have this attitude about converts?
by Nambo inso there was this great gang of us, from south london, manchester and wolverhampton, went to socialise with a group in fishguard in wales.. amongst the conversations one of the single sisters stated, "i could never marry anybody who used to be in the world".. i guess a lifetime of knocking on doors had given her the impression there couldnt possibly be a convert in her midst, never mind later alone with her in her mgb.. so whats with this, did you think we had rat scabies or were possesed by demons or something?.

I've never heard anyone say somthing like that when I was in, but they alway find a way to brand you anyway. As for the topic of "Since she's not a virgin or he's not a virgin "; I'm not gonna marry him. To that dumb because they always try to find somthing about your past to judge you on for some strage reason.

I wanted to bump this thread because of newer people like me. I know once I do this I'll reveal myself to the spies, but screw them.
Carver Park Congregation (Los Angeles,CA) 1985(my birth year )-1994
South Watts Congregation (Los Angeles,CA Watts area of L.A) 1994-1998. This was the best congregation I ever attended. Very small congregation, but the people were very friendly; got dissolved thou.
Denver Congregation (Los Angeles,CA) 1998-2005 ( well technically my card stay there, so it's really from 1998- July of 2006 )
Faded from late 2005-2006 . If I had known better I should of stayed faded, but I lived with my parents and had to attend enventally .
Central Compton Congregation (Compton,CA) mid 2006-2007. I had problems with Karl Ford. If you guys know of him let me know we can trade war stories about the jerk.
Denver Congregation (Los Angeles,CA) 2008- February 2009. I got disfellowshipped at this congregation.
Antelope Congregation (Lancaster,CA) 2009-2010. I was still disfellowshipped, but was trying to come back. I woke up thou and never got reinstated.

Did you know some witnesses who wanted to an Elder or M.S for the fame?
by Pitchess Co-Gen ini'm talking about how they pretend to love the congragation, but they really don't .
they strive to be "circuit superstars" ; instead of careing for the flock .
did you guys know any people like that while you were in ..

We had a fast track MS in his twenties who started taking the emblems and wanted to be an elder so bad he could taste it. When he was passed over he pouted for months.
Did he eventually get to become an Elder ?

How big of a deal is Kingdom Hall Weddings ?
by Pitchess Co-Gen inhas you all know i was engaged to another lady before i married my wife, but part of the reason my ex and i broke up was because we couldn't get a kingdom hall wedding.
to make a long story short why is it such a big deal ?.

I think it's a big deal to them because Witnesses in general don't get much reason to celibrate, so they go all out for weddings. I've people spend $15,000-$25,000 dollars on weddings ! My ex was picking the most expense places, and I just wanted a court house wedding ( like my parents who are still married; unlike her parents but that's another story ). It got to the point where she cared more about the wedding than are relationship.
